Living Letters - Philippians Featured Event image

January 13, 2023

6:00pm – 7:30pm

Location: 2562 Rouse Rd, Orlando, FL 32817

"This is the most dynamic, informative way to experience this book I've ever seen. If you're looking for a way to make Philippians more than words on a page, if you're trying to understand it as the life-changing, challenging, revoluntionary text that it is, I can't recommend [this] enough." - Ben Jeffrey, Broadway Actor, The Lion King

Imagine going back to first-century Philippi to relive the power of God's Word through Paul. Through this immersive and imaginative performance by Stephen Trafton, our Worship Director and former Broadway Actor, you can encounter Paul's words in their proper context and experience with power how the Philippians may have received God's Word. As you see parallels between the experiences of the Philippians and your own, you will be challenged to view your lives through the lens of the story of Jesus laid out in Philippians 2 and to have the confidence in Christ above all human credentials, to live as citizens of heaven and not of earth, to rejoice in the Lord no matter the circumstances, to put the needs of others above your own, to find the secret of contentment, and much more.

Friday, January 13, at 6:00 p.m. in the Worship Center

“Stephen Trafton’s performances of Philippians, Colossians, and Ephesians drew me and my church into those letters in a way that’s unmatched. Paul is heard. His heart and mind are felt. An audience is moved. God’s Word lives!” -- Rodney Plunket, PhD, Lead Minister, White Station Church of Christ, Memphis, Tennessee

"Stephen Trafton not only narrates Philippians from memory with passion and conviction, but he also introduces his performance with gripping, storytelling-like presentation of the most important background information to set the letter in its proper context. Riveting, amazingly powerful, and told by someone who obviously deeply belives what he is recounting." - Dr. Craig L. Blomberg, Distinguished Professor of New Testament, Denver Seminary
