Officer Nominations

It’s time for University Presbyterian Church to nominate more men to serve as Elders and Deacons and help us continue to be a Christ-centered church filled with truth and grace.Officer nominations will be open August 14 – September 9, 2022. Only full communing members (not associate members) may nominate officers.

• Members are encouraged to nominate an active male member who meets the qualifications set forth in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1 (although, not perfectly, of course).
• Those who accept the nomination will serve as an Elder/Deacon Apprentice from Sept 12, 2022 to March 17, 2023. They will attend officer meetings, officer-training classes, and be mentored by an active officer. They will receive all teaching and resources necessary to become a Christ-centered, grace driven, fruitful church officer (leader).
• Upon completion of their apprenticeship our Elders will examine each candidate in: Christian character, Bible knowledge, theology, and church government.
• On April 2, 2023, approved candidates will be presented to the congregation for election which will take place on May 7, 2023.
