A Better Hope

March 6, 2011 Series: Jesus: The Crux

Topic: Sermons Passage: Hebrews 7:4–7:28

In Hebrews 7, the author contrasts the New Covenant with the Old Covenant, and concludes that Jesus is the guarantee of a better covenant. Like the Hebrews, we often fall into an "Old Covenant" way of thinking about salvation. We think that we can earn God's approval by living a good life and performing well as a Christian. When we do that, we are succumbing to the same temptation the author of Hebrews wrote about. In this message, Pastor Mike Osborne explains four ways that Jesus is "a better hope."
